For Balmain Eyewear’s latest collection, Olivier Rousteing continues to work hand-in-hand with the Akoni design team to push the envelope for his favorite silhouette, developing a lighter, thinner and mirrored-lens third generation of shield sunglass designs. As the name Soldat makes very clear, Rousteing is certain that this unique acetate frame, with its striking two parallel lines of titanium set at the temple, will soon become a favorite choice for key members of his Balmain Army—and the designer has already made sure to incorporate the three tones of this new design into several of the house’s most recent shootings.
