Akoni’s Skymapper, so clearly inspired by the classic rounded-lens style of the protective frames of glacier explorers, has been given a richer and more refined twist for 2023. The new colorways —either rose-gold and black, with dark- to light-grey gradient lenses, or blackiron, with a dark-grey toolive gradients—may be sleeker and polished than those of previous seasons, but the Skymapper’s impressive original protective promise remains constant, with the four-base lenses depending on a three-layer anti-reflective coating.
